Located within a newly constructed mixed-use building, A Lot of Flowers is a boutique retail interior design project created from a vacant shell space into a vibrant, contemporary custom floral shop. The client envisioned a space that feels colorful and contemporary, yet grounded and complementary to the plants, pottery, and gifts merchandise, along with the custom floral arrangements she creates. A bold botanical palette animates the walls, providing a dynamic backdrop that enhances the layered merchandising, and natural textures and colors of the flowers and greenery. A contrasting black ceiling and directional track lighting create depth and visual focus, allowing product displays to read with clarity and intention.
The interior planning balances flexibility with visual order, supporting both everyday retail sales and custom floral shop design. Rustic wood display fixtures — existing pieces the client brought into the space — were thoughtfully integrated into space, adding warmth while preserving brand continuity. Their patina contrasts beautifully with the clean lines of the contemporary shell.
Expansive storefront glazing floods the shop with natural light and strengthens its street presence.
The result is a dynamic yet grounded retail environment that elevates the client’s brand while allowing her floral artistry to remain the focal point.
