Perched on a hilltop overlooking the lake, this residence was transformed from a cold, minimalist interior into a warm and refined retreat, celebrating panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The renovation reimagined the interior architecture to introduce warmth, character, and spatial cohesion, layering natural materials, custom millwork, and tailored detailing to create a calm and sophisticated living environment.
The design focused on strengthening the home’s connection to the outdoors. Expansive windows, built-in seating, and outdoor terrace dining celebrate the inspiring views, while the reconfigured living area is anchored by a newly designed stone fireplace and custom millwork. Tailored trimwork, integrated cabinetry, and carefully composed architectural elements establish a sense of structure and permanence while re-establishing a relaxed lakeview retreat.
The kitchen was redesigned with custom cabinetry, quartz surfaces, a waterfall island, and integrated appliances, improving both functionality and visual continuity with the adjacent living spaces. Rich walnut hardwoods, marble surfaces, refined tilework, and a curated lighting program establish a cohesive material palette throughout the home. The primary suite features natural light filling a spa-inspired bath with marble flooring, deep-blue tilework, new wood wainscoting, and views captured from the new soaking tub and glass-enclosed shower.
Designer wallcoverings introduce texture and visual interest in select areas of the home, including an elegant silk pattern in the main bedroom and a striking decorative print in the entry foyer powder bath.
Every element was carefully considered and specified—from cabinetry, hardware selections, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and lighting to window coverings and decorative finishes—resulting in a comprehensive interior transformation that elevates both the architecture and the everyday living experience. The completed home balances contemporary comfort with timeless detailing, creating a warm and sophisticated residence designed for both relaxation and entertaining.
