Crossroads Dental

Dental Office Interior Design

IDIBC AWARD OF EXCELLENCE – HEALTHCARE DESIGN

Designed as a fully customized family dental practice, this project balances clinical precision with warmth and visual vitality. Our scope encompassed complete interior architecture, lighting design, custom millwork, and finish specification — shaping an environment that feels both modern and uplifting.

To introduce light and visual energy into the windowless rear treatment rooms, we developed a corridor of sliding glass panels with a mix of clear glass and saturated hues of blue, yellow, green, and orange laminated glass for a bit of privacy. The translucent glazing allows borrowed light to penetrate deep into the plan while creating a rhythmic, color-driven architectural feature along the spine of the practice.

Within each exam room, enlarged and backlit photographs from the dentist’s personal travels serve as focal points, offering patients a calming visual distraction while reinforcing the practice’s personal identity. The reception area combines clean-lined millwork with illuminated textured panels and integrated lighting, establishing a refined yet approachable first impression.

A dedicated children’s play space was thoughtfully positioned adjacent to the waiting area, providing convenience for parents while maintaining some acoustic and visual separation. The result is a cohesive, light-filled dental environment that integrates technical performance with a distinctly human-centered experience.

“Angela was the savior of the Crossroads Dental project. Prior to Angela being hired, the consultancy, coordination and design were very much “off the rails” until she became involved. As the building owners, we very much sighed with relief when a professional got involved. The difference was obvious and the results speak for themselves. We hope you win some industry awards for your vision and execution, plus maybe some humanitarian awards for navigating such a frustrating project. Good work – congratulations!”
